Basic Concepts¶

Workspace	An independent environment within TrueWatch for data monitoring, analysis, and collaboration. Data in different workspaces is isolated from each other.
Data Source	The source that provides data to TrueWatch, such as infrastructure.
Integration	The feature that enables one-click collection and ingestion of monitoring data from specific technology stacks (e.g., Kubernetes, MySQL) into TrueWatch via DataKit.
Tag	A key-value pair defined for data, used to classify, filter, and manage data, enabling more granular data querying and analysis.

Data Collection and Processing¶

DataKit	The official unified data collector provided by TrueWatch, responsible for collecting and reporting metrics, logs, traces, and other data from various environments.
Pipeline	A feature specifically designed for processing data (e.g., logs), providing a series of processors (e.g., data masking) to transform data.
DQL	Debug Query Language, a self-developed data query language by TrueWatch, used to uniformly query and analyze various types of data within the platform, including metrics, logs, and traces.
DataFlux Func	A function development, management, and execution platform launched by TrueWatch. It supports writing code in Python and publishing it directly, automatically generating HTTP API interfaces without the need to build web servers or other infrastructure.

Core Features¶

Scene	The core module for data visualization in TrueWatch, containing various display forms, such as Dashboards (comprehensive data monitoring views), Notes (analysis reports combining text and images), and Explorers (custom data query interfaces). It supports flexible construction of business monitoring scenarios.
Event Center	A unified event management platform that aggregates all events triggered by monitors, manually created events, and events synchronized from external systems.
Incident	Serves as a unified entry point for managing and analyzing all anomalous events. It aggregates anomalies from intelligent detection, monitor alerts, and manual creation. Through correlation analysis, it displays the complete context of anomalies and supports team collaboration for tracking event status and recording the handling process, ultimately achieving closed-loop management of anomalous events.
Infrastructure	Provides unified monitoring for foundational architecture components such as hosts, containers, cloud resources, and network devices. It collects performance metrics like CPU, memory, disk, and network in real-time and visualizes component relationships and health status through resource topology maps.
Metrics	Represent time-series data indicating system status, containing metric names, values, tags, and timestamps. TrueWatch supports automatic collection, storage, aggregation analysis, and visual presentation of metrics, covering system metrics, application metrics, and business metrics.
Logs	Text records generated during system operation. TrueWatch provides a one-stop service for log collection, parsing, indexing, storage, and retrieval, supporting full-text search, field filtering, pattern analysis, and real-time monitoring.
APM	Analyzes application service performance bottlenecks by collecting distributed tracing data. It provides service topology mapping, interface response time statistics, error rate monitoring, and code-level performance diagnostics, supporting multiple languages like Java, Python, and Go.
RUM	Collects real user experience data from terminals on Web, App, and Mini Programs. It monitors page load performance, user interaction behavior, interface call quality, and frontend errors, supporting session replay and user journey analysis.
Synthetic Tests	Simulates user requests through globally distributed monitoring nodes to detect the availability and response performance of services like websites, APIs, and ports. It provides multi-region availability statistics, performance comparison analysis, and failure alerts.
Security Monitoring	Continuously monitors system security status, including security event log analysis, vulnerability scan result monitoring, abnormal login detection, and compliance policy checks. It provides security posture assessment and risk warnings.
CI Visualization	An observability solution for continuous integration processes. It monitors key metrics of CI/CD pipelines such as build status, execution duration, and success rate, visually displays pipeline topology and build trends, and supports root cause analysis for build failures.

Cloud Billing	A cloud resource cost management feature that aggregates billing data from multiple cloud platforms. It provides resource consumption analysis, expense trend monitoring, cost allocation display, and optimization suggestions, supporting budget alerts and cost forecasting.
LLM Monitoring	A specialized monitoring solution for Large Language Model applications. It provides API call performance monitoring, Token usage statistics, response quality assessment, cost analysis, and usage forecasting to ensure the stability and cost control of AI applications.
TOBY AI	The built-in AI Ops assistant in TrueWatch. Based on platform data, it provides intelligent Q&A, anomaly analysis, root cause identification, optimization suggestions, and automatic report generation, lowering the barrier to operations and improving troubleshooting efficiency.

Deployment and Usage¶

TrueWatch SaaS	A cloud service provided and maintained by TrueWatch. Users can start using it immediately upon registration without needing to install it themselves.
TrueWatch Deployment Plan	A version of TrueWatch that supports installation and operation in on-premises or private cloud environments.
Client DCA	DataKit Control App, a B/S architecture web-based control system for centralized management of DataKit, used to view operational status, manage configuration files and Pipelines, etc.
Mobile APP	The official mobile application released by TrueWatch, allowing users to view monitoring dashboards and receive alert notifications on phones or tablets, keeping track of system status anytime, anywhere.

Plans and Billing¶

Term Name	Brief Definition
Free Plan	A zero-cost version provided by TrueWatch for individual users and learning purposes. It supports basic data collection and core feature experience but has clear limitations on data storage duration, feature completeness, and technical support.
Commercial Plan	A standard paid version designed by TrueWatch for enterprise production environments. It provides complete data collection capabilities, access to all functional modules, standard technical support, and includes data security guarantees and basic SLA assurance.
Enterprise Plan	A high-tier version customized by TrueWatch for large enterprise customers. In addition to all features of the Commercial Plan, it offers additional value-added services such as dedicated cluster deployment, customized feature development, dedicated customer success managers, and higher-level SLA guarantees.
Billing Center	A module within the TrueWatch platform for centralized management and monitoring of account billing. It allows viewing plan details, data consumption, historical bills, and performing operations like top-up and renewal.
Settlement Method	The procedures and methods agreed upon between TrueWatch and users regarding the collection and payment of service fees, including prepaid, postpaid, and contract-based settlements for enterprise users.
